The best beaches in the country

Las Terrenas is known for having the most beautiful beaches of the Dominican Republic. To convince you, a presentation in a few words and photos:


Coson - the furthest from the city but it’s the price to pay for this great wilderness

Bonita - with its main access via a hotel/restaurant, it is the most international beach where you can enjoy the waves

Las Ballenas - little frequented beach except on weekends, its shallow water is very convenient to go with children

Punta Popy - the Dominican beach par excellence, located at the sign of the entrance of the city

Portillo - a little less known except by the kites surfers, it’s very quiet with some waves and a beautiful setting: it’s my favorite selection
